Getting Started
The beginning of something can sometimes come with the pressure of what was once known. The individual you remember yourself to be finds itself happening quite often with individuals who "start over." Here is my advice no matter where you are within your journey; Your number should be one. One step, one decision, one choice, one more, one less and the list goes on. It is the beginning of a journey that grows off the foundation created by you, through your discipline. You cannot and should not solely depend on the concept of motivation. Of course being motivated is like the "Holy Grail" of sensations, but on the day(s) you aren't motivated to do what you have to, this is where "Mr. Discipline" comes in to ensure that you get what you need to get done, even on the days you don't feel like it. Don't complain about the results nor the things you don't yet have if you did not do the work for it. When working towards our goals, we are rewarded not with the things we want but the things that we deserve, the seeds that we've planted and continue to water. In other words, what you're working towards isn't always based off the intensity you apply but the consistency of it. "Watering the seed you've planted with 10x more water on one day will not make up for the days you did not water your seed, nor would the process be expedited." It is the consistency of what's needed that will bear the results you yearn and the quality of it.
An example of how to apply the concept of ONE : One lap, one push up attempt, one extra bottle of water, one more second, or even one more minute. Don't fall into the illusion that this doesn't count. It does, progress is progress.
Another example (Creating a lifestyle towards balance) : Minus one cigarette, minus one drink, minus one pack of chips, spend one hour outside instead of your regular routine of being in bed all day etc...
Remember, this is a journey, a process and you should treat it as such. Nature gives us an example of this process, just look outside! You should not compare your journey to anyone's. It is you VS you working on the best version of what you can become.
Stay safe, Stay Strong, Keep Pushing.
